WORSHIP & ARTS LEAD – Full Time

Providing ministry & leadership to worship and the arts at CLC.

Magnification:  Worship

The responsibility of the worship and arts lead is to champion the lifting of every believer’s focus upward in worship and devotion to the Lord.  Magnification at CLC includes uplifting worship services, understandable styles/flavors of music, ultimate music quality, unadulterated and multi-sensory and behavioral preaching, and unforgettable music events.  How is this to be done?

1. Uplifting: The worship & arts lead shall…

1. Organize powerful weekend worship services in conjunction with the service planning team and prepare run sheets for weekend services.
2. Keep track of the preaching, special events, communion, and baby dedication schedules and plan accordingly.
3. Take responsibility for the auditorium preparation and décor, tech support, etc.

2. Understandable: The worship/arts lead shall…

1. Insure a strong weekend service each weekend, with the value of excellence in volunteerism and execution of the vision.
2. Uphold the value of songs being singable and understandable. (This cultural value can be more unpacked in the onboarding process).
3. Plan ahead with Planning Center, and teams with special elements for “big days” so that the planning is well communicated.

3. Ultimate: The worship/arts lead shall ensure…

1. That CLC continues to build a healthy worship culture of volunteers and ministry teams.
2. Quality musicians and singers are scheduled for all services.
3. Quality media will accompany all services.
4. Quality tech support (sound/lighting/media) will accompany all services.

4. Unadulterated: The worship/arts lead shall ensure…
5. All preaching will be behavioral with transformation and changed lives as the focus, this will be accomplished with sermon planning each fall with the Lead Pastor.
6. The use of video, drama, testimony, music etc. will be the rule, not exception.
7. Develop teams to develop special service features.
8. Place a high value on volunteers and developing leaders.

5. Unforgettable: The worship/arts lead shall…
6. Participate with the creative team in doing major outreach celebrations for Christmas.
7. Participate with the creative team in doing a major outreach celebration each Easter.
8. Participate with the creative team in doing other major outreach celebrations (such as Christmas Eve and the Fourth of July, etc.).
9. Participate with the creative team with a minimum of 4 set designs a year to coincide with major sermon series, all-church small group series, etc.
10. Utilizing: The worship/arts lead shall…
    1. Contribute on the church team in a capacity that is best suited to utilize their gifts and abilities.
    2. This will largely fill an “associates” support capacity.
